Mastersingers by the Sea chamber chorus is auditioning singers for its upcoming 2010–2011 concert season. A limited number of openings exist in the soprano, tenor and bass sections. Auditions will take place Tuesday June 8 from 4 to 7:30 PM by appointment only, in the choir room at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 91 Main St. Falmouth. The chorus, which is based in Falmouth, performs in venues throughout the Southcoast. It is accompanied by musicians from the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and is under the direction of Dr. David MacKenzie who is also Conductor of the New Bedford Symphony. Concerts are planned for Fall, November 13th and 14th; the Elizabethan Yuletide Feast, December 14th and 15th; Winter, March 5th and 6th 2011; and Spring, April 30th and May 1st. 2011. Rehearsals are Monday evenings 7 to 9:30 pm in the choir room at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. To schedule an appointment call 508-548-3992.
